It is possible to access Arequipa by air exclusively through the Rodríguez Ballón International Airport. A vast number of airlines fly daily to Arequipa.

Given that this city is located about one thousand and twenty kilometers south from Lima, it is very simple to arrive by plane in an hour and a few minutes more. From Cusco, the journey lasts half an hour and from Juliaca twenty minutes only.

Aeroperu, Faucett, Aero Continente, Americana and National Airlines are the airlines that operate most frequently here, connecting Arequipa with the main cities.

In order to access Arequipa by land, this city is connected with Lima by the South Pan-American route, which is in very good conditions.

The South Pan-American route runs from Tumbes in Peru's north area to Tacna in the south. Moreover, a road in poor conditions connects Arequipa with Puno and Cusco, via Tintaya.

Traveling along Arequipa's coast, once we arrive at Camana it is necessary to make a detour to the city. It is important to remember that we will ascend up to two thousand and five hundred meters.

By Train

Traveling to Arequipa by train is also an option since the South Railroad, which runs on Mondays and Fridays, travels from Puno to Arequipa in about ten hours.
