Nahuel Huapi National Park

The donation of land made on the sixth November 1903 by Francisco Pascasio Moreno was the starting point for the development of this park.

Such is the importance of the varied wildlife of the park, that in 1934 Argentina’s government passed a law in order to protect the area.

This park of special ecological, scientific and scenic value is situated in the south-western part of Neuquén Province and north-western part of Río Negro Province, covering an area of 705,000 hectares.
