Tourists that travel to Bariloche by plane arrive
at the International Airport of Bariloche, located fourteen
kilometres away from the city.
Flights from Chile, and cities such as Buenos Aires, Ushuaia
and El Calafate, among others, touch down at this airport
daily.
There is a wide array of airlines to choose from, being
Aerolíneas
Argentinas, American
Falcon Air and Southern
Winds.
LAN
Chile is the airline that operates regular flights from
Chile.

How to travel to Bariloche by land |
Crossing Hua Hum frontier
Travelling from San Martin de los Andes along Route 48,
about 50 kilometres, we reach a spot known as Hua Hum. From
this spot it is possible to gain access to a customs post
bearing the same name, about 3 kilometres away. As we keep
on travelling along the same route, over 10 kilometres ahead,
Pirihueico Lake is found. Once at the lake, a ferry, known
as Mariela, will take us directly to Fuy Port. Such port
is situated 65 kilometres away from Panguipulli, the first
important district in Chile.
This place is available all year round.

Crossing Cardenal Samoré ex Puyehue frontier
Travelling from Villa la Angostura, following National
Route 231, over 44 kilometres to the west, we reach a frontier
post named Puyehue. This pathway, located 1308 above sea
level, can be enjoyed all year round.
Crossing Perez Rosales frontier
Starting from San Carlos de Bariloche we should travel
about 25 kilometres by land in order to reach Pañuelo
Port. Once there a ferry that will take us to Blest Port,
sailing across the Nahuel Huapi Lake, is to be boarded.
We shall continue travelling a few kilometres by land until
Porto Alegre is reached, where another ferry should be boarded.

Such ferry will sail across
Frías Lagoon, until reaching a port bearing the same
name. Moreover, after travelling along Perez Rosales pathway,
1022 metres above sea level, we will finally get to Peulla
in Chile.
Travelling from Buenos Aires
As for travelling to Bariloche from Buenos Aires, there
are two main choices. To start with, it is possible to travel
through Bahía Blanca, following National Route 3,
afterwards continuing along National Routes 2 and 22 and
finally taking National Route 237 in order to arrive at
Bariloche.
On the other hand, it is possible to travel through Santa
Rosa. In that case, the routes to follow are National Route
5, National Route 35, National Route 152, National Route
143, Provincial Route 20 from the Pampa, continuing along
National Route 151, National Route 22 and finally, National
Route 237.
