Praia de João Fernandinho (João Fernandinho Beach)

This beach is quite small and calm crystal clear waters are its main feature. It is possible to access it through João Fernandes beach. There, a variety of bars, where lobsters and typical fish from the area are served, can be found.

Praia Brava (Brava Beach)

As it name suggests this is a beach with great waves all year round. Hence, it is extremely popular among surfers.

 

On the right side of the beach there is a path that leads to Olho de Boi beach, where nudism is practiced.

Praia da Tartaruga (Tartaruga Beach)

It is possible to access this beach taking a dirt track, that braches off from main road, only meters before the Ferradura Turnabout.

 

The beach has calm waters, which generally are the warmest in the region, since the cold currents from Antarctica do not flow here. This coast proves ideal for scuba diving and snorkeling.

Praia de Geriba (Geriba Beach)

Beautiful, sun-tanned people and fun lovers meet at this beach.

 

This is where you will get interesting information on parties that will take place at night.

 

There are waves along most of the beach so this place is great for surfers. On the left side a path that leads to Ferradurinha Beach can be found.

Praia do Canto (Canto Beach) 

The water at this beach is usually warm and the wind blows from the east. The right side serves as a scenario for a broad variety restaurants (at the Rua das Pedras) and the left side leads to two small beaches: Amores and Virgens.

 

Praia da Armação (Armação Beach)

This beach runs along Rua das Pedras and the Orla Bardot (Bardot Beachfront) and receives tourists from several transatlantic liners that anchor at this place. Moreover, two bronze statues stand in this beach. The first one pays homage to Brigitte Bardot and the second one to the fishermen.

ARMACAO BEACH

Praia dos Ossos (Ossos Beach)

There are several stories about the origin of its name. The most convincing one states that this beach was names Ossos due to whale bones that were found on the shore (osso is the Brazilian word for bones).

 

On the left side of the beach the Sant’Ana Church and the Yacht Club of Buzios can be found. On the opposite side, there is a path that leads to Azeda Beach.

OSSOS BEACH

Praia Rasa (Rasa Beach)

This is one of the largest beaches in Buzios. Waters are warm and shallow and wind blows constantly. Therefore, it becomes a paradise for sport lovers.

 

This beach is beautiful and proves ideal for small children as well as for grownups, offering a lovely place to go for a walk and come back to nature.

Praia Azeda (Azeda Beach)

Azeda and Azedinha are two of the country’s most beautiful beaches and after they gained the Environmental Protection Area (APA) status, all shops and bars were removed from this area.

 

This beach has warm crystal clear waters and it is possible to access it by a “water taxi” or by a small walking path, both starting at Ossos beach.

Praia de Manguinhos (Manguinhos Beach)

Manguinhos is a continuation of Rasa Beach. Sailing clubs such as Buzios Vela Clube and Yucas can be found here.

 

This beach is ideal for practicing water sports and for taking long walk. Watching the sunset by the shore is a must here.

Praia Ferradurinha & Praia da Ferradura
(Ferradurinha & Da Ferradura Beach)

Ferradurinha is surrounded by amazing mountains. The water here is calm and it has fine white sand. It is possible to access this beach through a path in the left side of Geriba Beach.

 

Ferradura is an inlet and has calm, crystal clear and cold waters. On the left side of the beach several bars can be found.

 

Among the services that are offered here, there is a small wind surf school, as well as a center where water skies and banana boats can be rented.
