How to travel by Land |
Nowadays, an extensive road network with more than one hundred fifty thousand kilometres is available in Colombia. Therefore, the country’s main cities have road connections with Venezuela, Ecuador and seaports. |
A stretch of the via Panamericana (Pan-American route) which will link Colombia to Panama is due to be built. Moreover, a highway known as “Marginal de la Selva” began to be built some years ago, linking Colombia with Venezuela, Ecuador and Peru through the Andes foothill.

Moreover, ships from the worldwide known Delta Cruise Lines Company leave regularly from the main American ports of the Mexican Gulf for Colombia.
Cartagena for example, is one of the Caribbean Sea’s main ports. Hence, ships from Sun Line, Princess Cruises, Delta Norwegian American, Holland America, Wetours, Sitmar and Costa arrive there regularly.
