As part of the Sierras Pampeanas (Pampa’s Sierras), Cordoba consists of three mountain ranges: the Small Sierra (Ischillin, del Campo, Chica y Condores), the Big Sierra, which ends in Champaqui (Comechingones, Anchal y Quilino) and in the west the Pocho, Guasapampa and Serrizuela Sierras.

Cordoba has a Mediterranean climate mainly. Winter is dry though not too harsh while summer is really hot. The annual average temperature ranges between 16ºC and 17ºC.
