How to get by Air

Cordoba city’s International Airport is known as Ing. Ambrosio L.V.Taravella. Such airport is located 0,9 kilometres Northwest from Cordoba city and 31º 18' '7" South and 64º 12' 08" West.

 

Due to the vast number of passengers and aeroplanes that are received daily, it is the country's third largest airport after Aeroparque and Ezeiza. It covers an area of 1020 hectares and the platform is as large as 57,350 m2.

 

In the year 2006 the airport expanded and a new building of 1,9 hectares was inaugurated intended for receiving a greater number of passengers and aeroplanes. The terminal is divided into three levels.        

 

On the lower level the arrival halls are located. In both halls shops, tourist information offices and car rental companies can be found.

 

On the middle level the varied airline’s desk can be found and, finally, on the upper level the waiting room and boarding halls are located.  
  

Moreover, a large number of magazine and sweet shops, as well as regional items shop and an ample parking space with a total capacity of 450 vehicles are available at the airport.

How to get by Land

There is a considerable number of routes that can be followed in order to arrive at Cordoba. The main ones are National Route No. 9, National Route 19, National Route 20, National Route 36, National Route 38 and National Route 60.

  

The National Route 9 links Cordoba with the Federal Capital, part of Santa Fé province including Rosario City, with Santiago del Estero, Jujuy, Salta and Tucumán. National Route number 9 links Cordoba with Santa Fé and Paraná, in addition to Entre Ri;os province.

 

National Route 20 links Cordoba with San Juan and Mendoza provinces while number 36 links Cordoba with la Pampa, Chubut, Ri;o Negro and Santa Cruz. Moreover, this route if combinated with National Route makes the access to Mendoza possible.   
  

Finally, National Routes 38 and 60 link Cordoba with La Rioja and Catamarca respectively.  

 


How to get by Bus

 

The most frequently used companies in Cordoba in terms of bus transport are El Turista, TATA and Flecha Bus, as long as we travel from any spot within the country or from Buenos Aires.

 

Cordoba provides bus services to Mar del Plata, Paraná, San Juan, San Miguel de Tucumán, Santa Fé, San Luis, San Carlos de Bariloche and Salta. The “Tren de la Sierra” train should be used in order to travel to the “Capilla del Monte” chapel.
