The Costa Brava is a unique tourist destination in the area and has its own special features such as the luxuriant vegetation and the rich blue sea of its beaches. Moreover, this place enjoys a pleasant climate all year round.

From museums and medieval castles that stand in Pals, Peratallada or Púbol to forests, cliffs and coves, a wide variety of special attractions can be found in Costa Brava. What is more, this place offers other tourist facilities as well such as parks, entertainment centres and a wild nightlife.

Beaches in Costa Brava

Beaches with golden sand and splashes of blue and green and the pure colours of the sea in the shore are the most distinctive features of the coastline of this beautiful destination.

This beautiful coast is near two hundred and fourteen kilometers long, stretching from the south of Blanes to the north area of Portbou, surrounded by the Maresme and the Montsey.

Some of the most sought-after beaches and therefore very well worth visiting in Costa Brava are Sa Tuna, L'Estartit, Montjoi and, of course, Tossa.

Cap de Creus Natural Park

The Natural Park known as Cap de Creus is located in the northernmost area of Costa Brava. It sits on geological rocks that are more than five hundred million years old.

This important peninsula is part of the municipal areas of El Port de la Selva, La Selva de Mar, Llançà, Palau-saverdera, Pau, Roses and Vilajuïga. In 1984 it was designated natural protected area, grouped under the category of Natural Park.

Among the many natural attractions this area has to offer, high cliffs, deep waters, a number of islets and eroded rocks associated with the shapes of animals are some of the most beautiful ones. Some striking examples of such rocks are the Eagle of Tudela and the Lion of Cap Gros.
