A diverse range of environments can be seen in La Paloma due to its richly varied physiognomy. Within a few kilometres beautiful residential gardens, natural forests, busy beaches and deserted ones, a lagoon among other attractions can be found.

Consequently, this seaside resort offers a rich variety of landscapes. As time went by, small neighbourhoods have developed here and nowadays each of these neighbourhoods retain its own distinguishing features.

Pleasant residential buildings, plenty of free spaces, gardens and pines groves by the sea, together with pine forests, rustic buildings and a range of other environments turn La Paloma into a truly wonderful place.

The centre of La Paloma develops around its main street, Nicolás Solari Avenue. Here the seaside resort’s commercial area is found. Such area consists of restaurants, casinos, ice cream shops, and markets among other businesses.

Since it runs exactly from south to north, this avenue is distinctly unusual. Moreover, a wide variety of important events are held at the avenue’s central flowerbeds.

Towards the West, the residential area of the resort can be found. La Balconada and El Cabito, for example, are fairly busy places. Besides, a wide range of architectural styles can be seen here.

Also known as "La Paloma Vieja", the historic centre of La Paloma is located in Santa Maria Cape.

This is the place where the seaside resort first began to develop, soon after the lighthouse was built.

In this densely populated area houses and buildings of a variety of styles can be found. Moreover, lake dwellings dating from previous centuries still stand here.

In the eastern area of the seaside resort, we find La Aguada and Costa Azul, a paradise for surfers. Were it not for a dune in the beach there would be hardly any limits between this two places.

This place is considered to be absolutely ideal for families seeking for peace and tranquillity. Moreover, it is perfect for enjoying the wonderful view of the beaches and even for getting a stunning photograph.

Provided we keep on travelling towards the west, we will reach Antoniópolis and Arachania two places that look quite similar to the rest, although they boasts a lovely panoramic view and its houses seem to be more simple. 

Arachania has recently become an important nightlife centre, given that a vast number of pubs and shops have set up there. Hence, it is hardly surprising that so many people visit this place.
