Lima is serviced by air through the Jorge Chavez International Airport, Peru's main domestic airport, named after the pioneer Peruvian aviator Jorge Chavez

How to travel by Land

On the other hand, should you decide to travel by land, then there are three access routes, through different frontier lines.

 

If you are planning to access Peru by the north area, the only possibility is to cross Peru's frontier with Ecuador, to arrive in the city named Tumbes.


If you will enter the country through the south area, the only possibility is to cross the frontier with Chile in order to access the city known as Tacna.


Finally, should you wish to access Peru through the south east area of the country, the frontier with Bolivia must be crossed in order to arrive at the city named Puno.

How to travel by Sea

Since access routes to the city are many and varied, there seem to be no excuses when it comes to visiting Lima.

 

Provided you decide to travel by sea, you will arrive at one of the two main ports in Lima nowadays. These are:

  • Callao Port, located in Callao Constitutional Province
  • San Martin Port (Pisco)


Moreover, it is worth mentioning that cruise ships are become more and more numerous here and Peru is one of the most popular ports in South America today.
