White and soft sand, calm water, the beaches of Montevideo are visited and enjoyed by tourist since
December up to the end of March.
The Rambla of Montevideo and its beaches are unique in extension,
from Ramirez beach (on the east) to Carrasco there are 30
kilometers of beautiful beaches and services for the tourist.
Pocitos beach is the most required and visited of all, mainly
by young people, there football and volleyball championships

The Carnival
|
Carnival is the most popular and biggest Uruguayan
festivity and it is really important in Montevideo. The Candombe
is a characteristic rhythm of Uruguay. It arrived to these
lands together with black people who were brought as slaves
from the west of Africa.
The most important moment for the Candome is the Carnival
in February even though it is possible to say that it is something
that is daily practiced at the most populated neighborhoods.
Candombe can be found in many music rhythms, even rock.
