The beaches of Piriapolis are very popular. In 25 km. of coast you can go round the panoramic tracks while visiting the resorts that are very different each of them.

There is a wide range of beaches, some that are ideal for those who are looking for peace and quietness and beaches for the ones that enjoy sports, fishing and surf.

There are some of white sands, not very deep and protected from the ocean winds by the hills, there are others of warm and transparent water, lonely beaches for those who prefer privacy.

There is no doubt that this is the most visited beach of the resort, it is formed by La Rinconada, Los Angeles and Portales, which are three beaches which appear as only one.

It is located in the center of Piriapolis and is one of the most beautiful ones to visit or to take sunbathes there, the water is calm and not very deep which makes it perfect for children and also to practice windsurf.

In one of its corners there is a sportive zone where championships take place for example, volleyball and football beach championships. Also diving classes are teached here and it is possible to hire a wind surf board, aquatic motorbikes, and small boats.

At night, the landscape changes, the beach is illuminated by the golden light of the rambla, resulting in a view that will be impossible to forget.

This beach is on the east of Piriapolis, between Punta Fria and Punta Colorada. Its name reminds of the saint who the founder of the resort took.

It is and extensive and wide beach of white sand. It is also the favourite especially for those who love surf.

It is also characteristic for its open inlet where every year in August and September it is possible to see the whales and whales’ calf that are close to the coast.

It is joined with Verde Beach by “Proa al Mar” and it has the “Burros” hills at the back of it.

The waves are not important for this reason is a good beach for children and to practice nautical sports.

It is a safe and big beach; it has a ramp for small boats and crafts which becomes in a natural port for them.

This beach is separated of the resort by the gully “Zanja Honda” it is the continuity of “de la Rambla” beach. If you visit it you will notice the difference, its sand is slightly different and is wavier.

Besides most part of it is full of rocks, during the storms the water crashes into it and produce a great effect.

It is an attraction for fishermen who sat on the rocks in order to spend hours trying to catch something, most of the times they are lucky.

Besides, in the middle of this paradise it is “Vertigo” an important disco of Piriapolis.
