La Cascada Park in Piriapolis

This park is on Artigas Avenue and Route 37. It was built by the owner and founder of the resort when the area started to be populated.

It is in the middle of an artificial water fall and a small dock in the “Canada del Puesto Viejo”. Although it was abandoned during a long time ago, nowadays has been rebuilt and has become a municipal park.

Besides, it has a small amphitheatre, children games, a museum, a small bar, and many things to spend a nice day, with barbecues and tables, all these in a beautiful park.

Zorrilla de San Martin Park in Piriapolis

This park is situated over Route 9, close to Pan de Azúcar creek and has got a lot of vegetation and flora species of our nature.

It is a clear example of our named “Montes Riberenos” here can be noticed the association of species, the interaction between them and the fauna, but especially with the water.

In these hills there are species really big or high close to the water but as you move further away from there the trees are not that high and appears the species that resist the lack of water, this is a manner of managing the species that are in these forests.
