How to arrive to Puerto Madryn Argentina
How to travel by Air |
Should you travel from a foreign country, you will have to land in Buenos Aires first since Puerto Madryn does not feature an international airport, just a small one where few flights operate.
However, Trelew city, located 67 kilometres away from Madryn does have a modern international airport named “Almirante Zar”. The country’s main airlines operate regular flights in such airport.

t is important to know that most flights arrive in Trelew and not in Puerto Madryn. Most airlines from abroad are not aware of the fact that the distance between these two cities is very short and they tend to believe that the only way of getting to Puerto Madryn is through Trelew Airport.
Nevertheless, some airlines do operate here, such as Aerolíneas Argentinas; LAPA; LADE (with many stops) and flights from the Army leave regularly from Ezeiza. In the case of Aerolíneas and LAPA transport from the Trelew Airport is included.
