Cabo Polonio is a rocky point located 15 metres above ocean level. There are two islands facing this place and one of the world's most important seals reserve can be found here.
Until recently, the only way to access this place was by means of a horse-pulled cart or simply walking through the huge dunes or along the shore for hours.
Many people believe that it is due to the fact that no cars can access the area that Cabo Polonio has remained so peaceful and natural beauties been preserved almost intact.

This place is a combination of both a fishing village and the countryside. It faces the sea it is located in the mouth of the river bearing the same name, where it flows into the Atlantic Ocean.
Valizas has easy access to the Cerro Bella Vista, a granite promontory covered in sand from where breathtaking scenery can be enjoyed.
Wooden constructions and huts have been made with the raw material that can be found in the area and add a nice touch to the landscape.
It is possible to travel by boat along the river up to the ombu forest. The boat ride along the river up to the lagoon named Laguna de Castillos is highly recommended.

This place has its origins in the huts and cabins that were located facing the sea, built by people from Castillos, a nearby village.
In spite of the fierce storms that have hit the area, Aguas Dulces has remained undamaged. In the last years more tourists began to visit the area.
Nevertheless, this place still preserves its small village atmosphere where the main street runs parallel to the sea and there is a row of wooden huts along the beach itself.
To go for long walks, find cockles in the sand and preparing mate tea while sitting in the sand are some of the most enjoyable things that can be done in this place.

This is a typical fishing village. Its inhabitants remained isolated and devoted to shark fishing for many years.
