As for visitors willing to get to Salto by car we provide them with a brief guide together with a route map.
If you travel from Argentina, Route 14 should be followed until a city known as Colón is reached. Once there, it is possible to cross the river Uruguay through the International Bridge “Gral. José Artigas”.
After crossing the bridge we will find ourselves in a city named Paysandú, where route 3 should be follow heading towards the north in order to get to Arapey Thermal Springs, 152 kilometres away.
It is possible to travel to Uruguay through Gualeguaychú, in Fray Bentos as well, crossing the International Bridge “Libertador Gral. José de San Martín”.
Provided we are travelling from Uruguay it is simply impossible to get lost. In order to reach the capital city or any spot within the rest of the country routes 3 and 24 are to be followed.
